UCI Retirees Assocation (UCIRA)
We, as retired UCI faculty and staff, have many opportunities to continue to be a part of UCI through our involvement with the UCIRA. The UCI Center for Emeriti and Retirees (CER), is the official connection and administrative organization for the UCIRA.
Why Join the UCIRA?
UCIRA's focus is to provide fun, social, and educational activities for all. In the past this has included lectures, cooking classes, hikes, bike rides, bus tours, on- and off-campus events, and its two ever-popular annual events: the Art Show and the Anne Paden Golf tournament. Additionally, for many events, UCIRA members receive priority registration, discount fees and/or complimentary parking.
The UCIRA co-sponsors and often helps out at CER activities. Equally important, the UCIRA provides representation on UC systemwide committees regarding all continuing UC retiree benefits through CUCRA (the Council of University of California Retirees Association). CUCRA provides representation from each UC campus and laboratory to advocate for all retirees of the University.
